Lezhi Tap Water Plant Project

The company operates two water supply plants, the second and third plants, with a total land area of 17,000 m2. The total daily water supply capacity of the two plants is 40,000 tons. The service area covers 28 m2, with 200 km of main water pipelines (DN75mm and larger) and more than 90,000 water meters. This system meets the water needs of 167,000 residents in the urban area, with a water supply coverage rate of over 98%.

The second water plant is located in Group 13 of Jindi Village, Nantai Street, and was built in December 1987. Originally designed with a water supply capacity of 10,000 tons per day, it draws water from the Bajiaomiao Reservoir, with water quality classified as Class III surface water. The backup water source is the Mianhuagou Reservoir. In September 2017, the company invested RMB 53.76 million to expand the plant's capacity by an additional 10,000 tons per day, increasing the total supply capacity to 20,000 tons per day. After expansion, the plant covers an area of 10,710 m2. The project includes a newly built sludge dewatering room, where production wastewater is directly reused in the wastewater recovery pool. A high-pressure plate-frame pressure filtration system is used to dewater the sludge, which is then sent to the municipal landfill for household waste. The process is controlled by an automated system, which allows for real-time monitoring of production and provides high levels of automation and easy operation management. Furthermore, potassium permanganate pre-oxidation treatment is introduced to effectively improve water treatment performance when there are abnormalities in the raw water, ensuring that the treated water meets the required quality standards.

The third water plant is located in Group 5 of Jielong Village, Nantai Street, and was established in December 2000. The plant covers an area of approximately 9,315.51 m2, with a design water supply capacity of 10,000 tons per day. The plant draws water from the Shilihe Reservoir, with water quality classified as Class III surface water. In November 2018, the company invested RMB 1 million to upgrade the sedimentation tank at the third water plant, replacing the original inclined plate sedimentation system with an inclined tube sedimentation system, adding inclined tubes and a centralized water collection tank, and replacing the filter media in the filter beds. These improvements enhanced the water treatment process to ensure better treatment results. In 2021, the company invested over RMB 8 million to add an integrated treatment system with a capacity of 10,000 tons per day, increasing the total water supply capacity of the third water plant to 20,000 tons per day.
