Project Introduction
The national key R&D program project Nanomaterials and Technologies for the Precision Treatment of Antibiotics and Antibiotic Resistance Genes in Water jointly undertaken by HAITIAN GROUP, Peking University, and Southern University of Science and Technology.
Treatment Effect
Performance exceeds the requirements of the Chinese National Standard Discharge standard of water pollutants for medical organization (GB18466-2005).
Research Background
Medical wastewater is distinct from that generated by general industries. Viruses such as SARS-CoV-2 are highly transmissible. Wastewater from mobile cabin hospitals, isolation facilities, testing centers, and designated treatment hospitals contains significant loads of viruses and bacteria. Inadequate treatment can cause environmental pollution and potentially facilitate disease transmission.
Core Technology
The core technology employs an internal circulation high-speed swirling advanced oxidation reactor. Its key advantage is the effective enhancement of pharmaceutical pollutant removal and pathogenic microorganism inactivation without requiring additional chemical reagents.
Technical Achievements
This technology is supported by the Young Scientist Program of the National Key R&D Program of China (2021YFA1202500), funded through the Ministry of Science and Technology; Results have been published in 10 SCI papers in top environmental journals such as Applied Catalysis B: Environmental (IF 24.319, 2022).
